We fight them when we are young.
We scorn them when we are tweens.
We crave them when we are adults.
Yesterday I finished work early.
I returned home and put on jammies.
I nestled on the couch under my favorite blanket.
I intended on doing work.
But the blanket was too cozy.
The couch was too soft.
An hour and a half later I woke up.
Some might say the nap was too long.
The question is, could you go to sleep at night? However, I think if you slept that long, you needed it.
Yeah, that was my worry, too. But l sleep horribly when I travel, so I stayed up reading and when I did turn out the light, I slept like a baby. 🤗
And some would be wrong! So glad you could have an afternoon to yourself for some self-care. Good for you!
Fun way to share your slice–thanks!
I LOVED your Queen post! Cracked me up!!
I love the perspective from different times in your life. A nap is always a welcome friend, especially under a warm blanket.
Perfect!
I don’t remember you ever fighting a nap! You inherited that from me. 😴. Thanks for sharing.
I can relate. Soft couch, warm blanket – a nap is welcome. I wish there were more days with naps.
