February 25

Slice of Life Story Challenge is coming.

You should sign up.

Teachers should be writers.

Practice what you preach.

You have been a slicer for the last three years.

None of your teachers will know if you participate or not.

You don’t have time.

March 1

Slice of Life Story Challenge starts today.

You should write.

You grow as a writer when you write every day.

Your eyes view the day differently.

Your ears listen to the day differently.

You like playing with words and structures.

Time. Time. Time.

You DON’T have it.

No one does.

I have never had time before.

I was able to write every day then.

I can write every day now.

Hello, Slice of Life Story Challenge 2018!

I’m in!

  1. Oh boy! I get to drop in on your life every day this month! I do enjoy your writing and seeing your perspective on what’s happening in your world. Stay strong!

  2. I was beginning to get sad that you weren’t participating. I talked Gracyn into having her class participate in the class challenge with my class. I am planning sharing your March 1 welcome with my students for some SOL Day 1 inspiration!

  3. This. Is. Fantastic. I have been battling the same conversation with myself as I realized how hard it was going to be to keep up, right after I hit the submit’ button. You perfectly captured the two voices in my head and now….the third! =)

  4. I could have written this same poem! I was in the same boat and finally jumped in. I might be crazy–but at least I have friends who are just as crazy! Here we go!!
